Reference to the sub-decree No.109 dated 23 October 2006 on the organization and the functioning of the National AIDS Authorities, department of prevention, care and support has the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Communicate with partners to disseminate appropriate information for education to change people's high-risk behavior
- Mobilize to have prevention, care and support services for HIV and AIDS vulnerable groups
- Collect information on HIV and AIDS education from partners for developing the guideline and strategy on disseminating HIV and AIDS information and
documenting for publication
- Develop communication and resource mobilization strategy against HIV and AIDS epidemic
- Organize HIV and AIDS conference, coordinate and participate in events such as: Candle Light Memorial Day, World AIDS Day, Water Festival Day etc
- Develop and control all HIV and AIDS messages before public dissemination
- Coordinate and mobilize resources
- Develop and coordinate with all parties and NAA network (ministry, municipality, province, district-Khan, Sankat-commune) to clearly set and balance the
resources for HIV and AIDS activity as stated in the strategy and integrate into master plan
- Develop working mechanism to avoid the problem of resource flow and control the use of resources
- Organize and coordinate meeting with development partners on the need of resources for fighting against HIV and AIDS
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual report
- Implement other tasks required by the General Secretary of NAA.
